From Screen to Stage: how Smashed is growing its impact in Greece
In this blog, we’re excited to shine our spotlight on Greece, where the Smashed programme continues to gain momentum with an expanded approach combining both Smashed Online and the newly launched Smashed Live experience.
Since its arrival in Greece, Smashed has been empowering young people and educators with evidence-based tools that explore real-world decisions about alcohol, critical thinking, and peer pressure – all in an engaging, educational format.
Delivered to schools across Greece in 2026 in partnership with Theatro Technis Karolos Koun (Θέατρο Τέχνης Κάρολος Κουν) with a team of highly skilled educators and actors, Smashed Live uses the power of live performance to deepen emotional engagement and spark meaningful discussion among students about the risks of underage drinking.
This expansion has complemented the existing Smashed Online module, a digital version that uses filmed narrative and interactive classroom discussion, helping schools reach diverse learning needs across the country.
Since the launch in 2022, more than 11,500 students in over 250 Greek schools have taken part in the Smashed programme, and a huge part of this success in Greece is thanks to our trusted delivery partner, La Fabbrica – a certified educational organisation that brings Smashed to life on the ground.
La Fabbrica is renowned for its broad portfolio of impactful educational and social programmes. Their work spans media literacy, financial literacy, health and wellbeing, sustainability, civic engagement, and more, all designed around active, participatory learning.
